The point of the final essay is to convince the reader of something. You will make three cogent arguments to persuade your readers of your point of view. The structure I'm looking for was discussed in class and is contained in the above link. By now you should have already told me your topic but here are some suggestions:

These are just some examples. You may choose another topic as long as we have discussed it first.
Writing Prompt 1:
Describe some negative consequences of actions you have taken, then describe at least one positive outcome of an action you will take.
Writing Prompt 2:
Imagine you were a parent and your son or daughter was about to be incarcerated. How would you react? What would you say to him/her before you said goodbye?
Writing Prompt 3:
What is one valuable lesson passed on to you that you would like to pass on to somebody else? Who taught you this lesson? Why do you think it is important?
Writing Prompt 4:
YOLO
You Only Live Once has become a popular slogan. Is it true? What about the loved ones who have passed on who live on in our hearts or the legends of history like Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter who live on in our popular media and imagination? If you agree with YOLO, explain why. If you don’t agree, explain why not.
Writing Prompt 5:
As you go through life, some friends become like family and some family members drop away from your life. Describe your most important “blood relative”, then describe someone who isn’t related to you by blood but is “like family”.Why are these people important to you? How are they alike? How are they different?
Writing Prompt 6:
You’re going on vacation when your plane goes down over a deserted island. You are put in charge of giving out parachutes. Including yours, there are only six parachutes for your landing on the island but one hundred passengers. Who gets the other five and why?
